Frequently asked questions
Is ToolMyth PDF Editor free?
Yes. All editing and PDF export features in this editor are free.
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Documents, passwords, images, signatures and text stay in your browser memory. They are not uploaded or saved in localStorage. Analytics collection is disabled while this editor is open.
Can I sign a PDF?
Yes. Draw a signature, type one using an available local font, or upload a signature image. These are visual signatures, not cryptographic digital signatures.
Can I add text to a PDF?
Yes. Click Text and then the page, and edit the new text overlay using the contextual controls.
Can I add images to a PDF?
Yes. Insert PNG, JPEG or WebP images and move, resize, rotate or duplicate them.
Can I edit existing PDF text?
This editor adds text and annotations. It does not offer Word-like editing of arbitrary existing PDF text, OCR, redaction or form creation.
What is preserved in the exported PDF?
Original page content is preserved. New annotations are flattened as transparent image layers at up to 144 dpi, so added text is not selectable. Active actions and embedded scripts are not carried into the new document. Existing digital signatures are invalidated by editing.
Can I open a password-protected PDF?
Enter its known password to decrypt it locally with the existing PDF worker. Unknown passwords are not guessed or bypassed. Exported copies are unencrypted.
