Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is parsed entirely in your browser using pdf.js — the file never leaves your device.
Why is the extracted text empty?
Scanned or image-only PDFs have no embedded text layer, so there is nothing to extract. This tool does not perform OCR.
Can I extract text from a password-protected PDF?
Not currently — remove the password first using a PDF editor, then try again.
